Rhinoplasty Case #471
Surgeon: Michael A. Bogdan MD
Before & After
Case Details
When our patient, aged 41, reached out to us concerning her dissatisfaction with her "drooping tip" nose, her desire wasn't just about enhancing her appearance, she sought a more feminine look. As a certified plastic surgeon, it was my privilege to guide her through this journey. We chose an open rhinoplasty, a method known for its precision in addressing detailed aspects of the nasal anatomy. To provide the desired tip support, we used the tongue and groove technique, which was a suitable option considering her straight septum.
Throughout the procedure, my priority was to ensure her personality still shone brightly in her features. When a patient tells me, "It still looks like me, only a better version," I know I have struck the perfect balance between making visible changes and maintaining the patient's unique identity. To accomplish this, I drew from my extensive experience as a board-certified plastic surgeon, a journey that includes dual bachelor's degrees, a medical degree from Stanford University, being a chief resident in plastic surgery, and a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at New York University.
The outcome of the rhinoplasty exceeded her expectations, which affirmed the patient's trust in me. The joy of seeing a patient's boosted confidence post-procedure is what fuels my passion for this field. My educational background and clinical practice are instrumental in shaping my approach to aesthetic surgery, leading to highly satisfying patient outcomes. Acknowledging that every patient's need is unique, my mission is to always provide optimal care suited to their distinct requirements.
