Breast Reduction Before & After Case 159

This 30 year old mother from north of Aubrey, Texas, visited my Dallas plastic surgery office interested in a Mommy Makeover consisting of a Breast Reduction and an Abdominoplasty. She had been considering a breast reduction for over 10 years, as her 34 H/I sized breasts interfered with her lifestyle. She had been considering a tummy tuck for a number of years, and wanted to address both issues at the same time. After meeting with her and discussing her goals, I agreed that she was a good candidate for surgery. We planned to maintain a significant breast volume, as she had always been full. 

Surgery took just under 5 and 1/2 hours to complete, and was uneventful. During the Breast Reduction, I lowered the left sided breast fold 2 cm to improve symmetry, and removed 500 gm from the larger right side and 430 gm from the left. With the abdominoplasty, we removed an impressive amount of skin (1480 gm), and I tightened the musculature 6 cm (she had a 2 cm true diastasis). Her recovery has been uneventful, and she has returned to normal activities (photos were taken 7 weeks after surgery, and scars are still quite immature an red.)
