Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 41

This 39 year old woman from the Arlington area presented to my Southlake surgical practice desiring improvement of her abdominal contour. She had delivered 2 children, and (despite a good exercise program) was unable to improve the appearance of her stomach. She had a bulge in the lower abdomen, stretch marks from childbearing, and fullness in general.
I explained that she was an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). The procedure would allow us to remove some of the skin with stretch marks, as well as fat below the skin surface. We designed the scar location such that it could be hidden by her clothing preference. During surgery, I performed muscular tightening, removed excess skin, and created a new belly button.
Her recovery went smoothly, and she was surprised that the discomfort was less than she expected. She is now back at her exercise program, and is ecstatic with the changes. Note the improvement of her waistline caused by the muscular tightening. (Her flat stomach appearance on profile view resulted both from the muscular tightening as well as the way skin shrinks as it is stretched.)
