Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 183
Surgeon: Michael A. Bogdan MD
Before & After
Case Details
44 year old mother of two from north of the DFW metroplex visited my Southlake plastic surgery office initially interested in an abdominoplasty to fix abdominal laxity that she had after childbearing. She had a very stable exercise program, but was not happy with the appearance of her abdomen. We were all set to proceed with surgery, when an abnormality found on our pre-operative labs required that we reschedule the procedure until after these issues could be resolved.
By the time the lab issues resolved, she had decided to proceed with a complete "mommy makeover" by also addressing her breasts. She was quite happy with her breast volume, but wished that they were more perky. We agreed that an anchor incision mastopexy would give her the results that she was seeking.
Surgery went very smoothly, and took just over 4.5 hours to complete. The anchor incision breast lift allowed me to raise her nipple position as well as tighten the skin envelope, reshaping her breasts in a more youthful fashion. With the tummy tuck, 1.1 kg of skin was removed, and a 4 cm rectus diastasis was repaired by tightening the abdominal wall 6 cm.
Her recovery proceeded smoothly, and photos were taken 7 weeks after surgery. She loves the changes, and is very happy that we were able to do the breast lift at the same time as the tummy tuck.
